The Royal Marine Hotel is a landmark hotel in Dun Laoghaire, which has operated since 1828. On the 22nd of June 2007 the hotel re-opened its doors to unveil a new phase in the hotels history after undergoing a €50 million re-development project. The new 4* hotel will offer guests a host of new services and facilities with spectacular views over Dublin's picturesque Bay. Many of the hotels unique original features have been expertly restored to ensure that the historic character of the hotel is present in the new hotel.

Our accommodation consists of 152 superior rooms, 54 executive rooms with balconies and 22 suites located in the main Victorian building.

The ground floor of the Hotel will be a stunning vision of 'old and new' the infamous 'Bay Lounge' complimented by a stylish bar will remain entrenched in history. We intend to keep the Bay Lounge married in the memories of old by carefully restoring its unique characteristics.
Enjoy the age old tradition of afternoon tea whilst overlooking the spectacular views of the harbour.

Hardys Bar will incorporate modern design with gastronomic and classical dishes coupled with service full of character and personality. Hardy’s bar has been designed over two floors which makes it the ideal venue for small intimate parties and private gatherings.

Dún Bistro styled restaurant will combine a Modern Epicurean menu and a broad and eclectic wine list with professional yet friendly service. The bistro will incorporate stunning views over the harbour with a mix of both modern and period design features.

Dun Laoghaire is seven miles south of Dublin city and has a direct route ferry; 100 minutes from Holyhead in Wales by Stena Line’s magnificent HSS craft.

The town, with its thriving commercial centre, has the advantage of being beside the sea offering magnificent coastal views. Within 15 minutes you can be in Dublin City by DART (suburban rail).
Dun Laoghaire, both a Victorian and Modern town, has played an important part in the development of Modern Ireland. Its Harbour, the largest man-made harbour in Western Europe, was one of the great architectural/engineering projects of the 19th Century and remains an important working port as well as a valuable leisure facility.
